Today I’m giving you my go-to holiday cookie recipes. I’ve tested these for years so you don’t have to. Since the holidays usually involve sharing, the last thing you need to be giving your friends and family are stale-tasting, dry cookies. These recipes don’t have chunks of nuts or random pieces of fruit. They’re exactly what you want in December: Chocolate. Butter. Icing. Sprinkles.
Oh and if you think you’re not a pro baker (first of all, welcome to the club), cookies are a great place to start for beginners. They don’t require a lot of equipment, skills, or time… in true Bake Like A Champ fashion.
A traditional cut-out cookie, finished off with royal icing
Crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside
An Italian butter cookie, and I skip the sandwich step, dip the top of each cookie in milk chocolate and cover with sprinkles
A brownie-like cookie covered in powdered sugar
A traditional Italian cookie with a hint of almond
Pretty much exactly what the name suggests, but I bet you’ve never tasted anything like them
A French butter cookie similar to shortbread with a rich chocolate flavor
I’m constantly testing new recipes, so if you have a favorite holiday cookie, send it to me and I’ll try it out before Christmas!
